Looking for people using Nortel VPN
Shimo3 is just around the corner and one of its features is support for Nortel VPN. To verify this, we need some people with Nortel VPN accounts, who are willing to test the latest beta.
You can get access to the Shimo3 beta at http://dev.chungwasoft.com/Shimo/ . Just register for a beta account on that site and download the latest beta version. If you encounter any problems or if you have any feature requests, just send me an email or create a ticket on the beta website.
UPDATE: The Shimo3 beta period ended some days ago. So please download version 3.0.

Hello
I do have a question to Shimo 3 as a Contivity replacement…
Will Shimo 3 be able to use a Gemalto Cryptoflex SmartCard ??

Hi,
Just tried it and works just fine (with SecureID token). Only thing, I had to uncheck the “Use Kernel IPSEC Implementation” in the config.
Thanks,
Kan

Hello Fabian
First of all – great application – very simple and clean UI. I did download the beta since we here @ travelocity.com, we use Nortel for VPN Connectivity. However I was not successful in connecting to the VPN server. I used a hard token for connection. For authentication we use Group Security Authentication with a Group ID and Password. The Group Authentication Option is a “Response Only Token” which uses a Two-Factor Authentication Token Card.
I set the preferences in the application with the Authentication set to Group Password. Am I missing something?
Thanks
Binoy Thomas

Hi Fabian,
Couldn’t get it to work either
. Authentication is set to “Group Password”. In log file I get the error “ERROR: can’t get tunnel HW address: Function not implemented”. Does that mean anything to you?
BTW, I’m using Beta 9.
Good luck with the release!

Please check what network interface is set in your profile. If it is “tap”, try “tun”. Also try “kernel ipsec”.
