CargoLifter: Email Attachments in the Cloud

Cargo LifterToday we are releasing our next plugin for Apple’s Mail application, CargoLifter. With CargoLifter you won’t fill other people’s email inboxes any longer. Instead of sending email file attachments as part of the email, CargoLifter automatically uploads all file attachments to your favorite cloud service (e.g. Dropbox or YouSendIt) and afterwards adds the corresponding download links to your email message. The email’s recipient can then easily download the files from the cloud instead of storing the files as part of the email ins his mailbox.

Feel free to test CargoLifter by downloading it now.

      Hi,
CargoLifter sounds very interesting. I was wondering whether you are planning to release it for other mail programs as well, for example Postbox.
      Thanks,
      Andre

Currently, I don’t have plans on supporting other mail programs.

    • Charlie 14:25 on March 18, 2013 Permalink | Reply

Installed and connected to my dropbox. Set for .5mb and “ask before…” Try to send large things and gets rejected by the mail server. Seems that it never asks to upload, nor does it upload as my DB folder stays empty. I restarted mail.app with no change in behavior.

Face2Face: Mail Plugin adds Personality to Emails

Face2Face LogoToday ChungwaSoft releases a new plugin for Apple’s Mail application. Face2Face shows people’s personal images as their sender image. These images come from Facebook, Gravatar or Face2Face’s own image database. This database will grow by adding your own personal image through Face2Face. The more people use Face2Face, the more images will be shown in your email’s inbox.
The best about Face2Face is, that it is absolutely free to use. Just download it now and enhance your favorite email application by a great new feature.

    Face2Face – Emails with Personality.

Before installing this app, I’d like to know if email addresses will be captured from my Contacts or from email I send and receive. I do not want to share other people’s information with a third party.

BTW, I have found ForgetMeNot to be quite useful.

      • Fabian 08:26 on February 18, 2013 Permalink | Reply

Email addresses from your Contacts won’t be captured to be sent somewhere. The email address of an email’s sender is just used to check if there is an image associated to this particular email address. It is not even the email address that is used for this lookup, but a value computed from this email address. This value is absolutely anonymous. If you want to have more technical details, please let me know.

    Shimo 3.2: Triggered VPN Connections

Today we release the next major update of our awesome VPN client, Shimo. With Shimo 3.2 we fixed a lot of the smaller issues, which were reported by our users. Moreover, this update to Shimo comes with a great new way to automate your VPN connections: Triggers.
With Triggers you can assign your VPN profiles to certain events like Network changes, application launches and others. This makes it possible to automatically establish a secured connection whenever you open Mail or Safari or whenever you connect to a wireless network with a certain name. Isn’t that great?!

So, don’t waste any more time and download Shimo 3.2

Kiwingu Closed BETA starts today – UPDATED

Kiwingu ApplicationTime has come for another great application from ChungwaSoft. We are very proud to announce the start of the Kiwingu closed BETA today. People willing to help testing our new software product are invited to register in our community forum and send me a short message with the request to be added to the BETA test. Please include a short description of yourself and your experience in BETA testing software products.
After an approval process, you will be able to see the BETA forums, which also give you access to the latest Kiwingu BETA versions, which you can download and try on your system. Any kind of feedback is highly appreciated, of course.

To everyone excited to know what Kiwingu is all about: As cloud storage becomes ubiquitous, there is a need for good client applications, which make your remote storage available to your local computer system. Kiwingu does exactly this: It allows to integrate remote cloud storage into your OS X the same way you do with USB pen drives. Just connect and that’s it. In its first version Kiwingu will support FTP, SFTP, Amazon S3 and WebDAV services … more services to be announced :-)

    Looking for Translators

We want to provide the best user experience possible to our customers. As our products are successful all over the world, part of this user experience is the localization of our software. Our products are always available in English and a German localization will be added quite soon as this is relatively straight-forward for us as a German company. :-)

To be able to offer our software titles in more languages, we are currently looking for people willing to help us translating the apps. So, if you speak Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese or anything else and are interested in helping us from here, don’t hesitate to get in contact with us…
