Use your Mobile Device

Many modern mobile phones already include everything you need to get location information. Either with full GPS functionality or by getting the information from the currently connected antenna - your phone knows where you are! GeoTagr leverages this fact by offering clients, which continuously send your position to a central GeoTagr server to make them accessible from your desktop computer when you are back at home.

iPhoto Integration

GeoTagr was designed to work seamlessly together with your favorite photo software and operating system. Whenever you connect a camera to your computer GeoTagr will automatically start to download your location information from our servers and tag them to your new photos.

Respecting your Privacy

When it comes to logging your current position on a remote server, it is also always about privacy. GeoTagr makes sure that your personal positions are only accessible by you yourself. Your information is saved encrypted on our servers and can only be decrypted with your very own user identifier, which we don't even know!

Hardcore Technology, Mac Simplicity

A crucial design aspect of our software is the user experience. We don't want our user to be a computer expert to be able to use our software. Therefore we make sure that literally everybody can assign location information to his photos by using GeoTagr.

Supported Devices and Applications

GeoTagr currently supports the iPhone and the iPod touch as mobile devices to collect information about your current position. We are already working on clients for other mobile phones based on Android and Symbian.
On the desktop platform we support MacOS X with iPhoto as the photo management application. Support for Microsoft Windows and Google's Picasa software is planned...
