After four years of development, Shimo 3 is finally available.
It comes with many new features like multiple concurrent connections, the Vault, advanced statistics, to name only some. Shimo 3 supports even more VPN protocol types and with improved compatibility with the most important protocols like Cisco AnyConnect and OpenVPN.
You can find more information about the latest major release of the best VPN client for OS X here.

Shimo 2 customers get an upgrade discount by uploading their Shimo 2 license file on our special upgrade website. This coupon is then valid in our ChungwaStore.

Shimo3 is just around the corner and one of its features is support for Nortel VPN. To verify this, we need some people with Nortel VPN accounts, who are willing to test the latest beta.
You can get access to the Shimo3 beta at http://dev.chungwasoft.com/Shimo/ . Just register for a beta account on that site and download the latest beta version. If you encounter any problems or if you have any feature requests, just send me an email or create a ticket on the beta website.

Please download the latest beta version from http://dev.chungwasoft.com/Shimo/ and test it out. There are a lot of bug fixes included and the auto-update functionality finally works. So you should not miss any future update now

Hi everybody,
after some weeks of private beta for Shimo3, I would like to open the beta testing to more users.
To have a central place to file bug reports and feature request, I set up a trac system, which can be found at http://dev.chungwasoft.com/Shimo/ . Please feel free to register an account for the trac system. This enables you to write wiki pages, create tickets etc. … and also download the beta software

Shimo meets VyprVPN: A complete VPN solution

I am often asked whether we are offering a full VPN solution including software and also a VPN service. Not till today! From now on ChungwaSoft is cooperating with Golden Frog to offer our customers a complete VPN package. This includes the best VPN client for the Mac, Shimo, and an outstanding VPN service, called VyprVPN.
Those of the Shimo customers looking for a VPN account to surf the web anonymously and securely, should register for a VyprVPN account and use it with Shimo. While VyprVPN offers multiple protocols, we recommend to use the OpenVPN protocol. If you need any help configuring Shimo with VyprVPN, there will be detailed tutorials on how to setup Shimo with VyprVPN…
The next version of Shimo2 will include direct links to register for a VyprVPN account, so it will be extremely easy for Shimo users to get their hands on a professional VPN service.

Better Support and Shimo 2.2.3

In the last weeks I got several emails from people complaining about the quality of support within the last months. I really want to apologize for this situation and I promise that we will improve our support heavily!
As a first step we introduce a completely new support area for our users. You will find FAQs, discussions and email contacts in this area. The former support forum should be replaced and tremendously enhanced with this step.
Please let me know what you think of the new support area and what we can improve even further. What do you think about a Wiki page, where people can explain how to setup Shimo in different situations?
We are looking forward to your comments.

BTW: There is an updated version of Shimo2 available: Version 2.2.3
